Josh was born in Garland, Texas on September 30th, 1979. His father is a firefighter for Plano Fire Department in Plano, Texas giving Josh the dream to be a firefighter his whole life and allowing him to join the fire service in January 2002.

Josh is a graduate of Wylie High School, has attended the North Texas Fire Academy and the NTFA EMT School (2004).

When Josh is not volunteering at FGFD he is a Senior Personal Banker with Bank of America in Tyler, Texas.
